Once you've made the decision to license seismic data for your project, you expect your data to be delivered quickly and accurately. Our digital library allows us to meet and exceed those expectations.
2D Data Orders
Your marketing representative will initiate a firm order for the 2D data you selected during your digital QC. Our licensing team reviews your order to identify any previously licensed data and to verify all pricing and selection details, in coordination with your marketing representative. The license team generates a license agreement supplement for your electronic signature and advances your order for processing. Our automated order processing software, SeisTrack, creates deliverable files from our digital library, and runs a finalization check for any last minute updates before electronic or physical delivery. Most of our orders are now delivered electronically via a secure FTP process.
3D Data Orders
Your marketing representative will initiate a firm order for the 3D data you selected during your digital QC. In addition, our 3D data services team prepares a 3D map mileage request. The process can be fully automated if an entire survey is selected, or can require our 3D data services group to define the area using SEI Explorer, our proprietary 3D data cutting software. During the map mileage process, the appropriate mileage relationships are computed and depicted on a map, including
- prospective new license areas
- prospective upgrade license areas
- previously licensed areas
- no permit or restricted areas
The map mileage request also provides the details of available product deliverables and volume size computations. Your marketing representative will review the 3D map mileage request with you before our license team prepares the license agreement supplement for your electronic signature. Upon license approval, SEI Explorer makes the appropriate data cuts. As with our 2D orders, most of 3D orders are now delivered electronically via a secure FTP process.
